THE HOLY SPIRIT IS NOT AN “IT!”

The Personality of the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit, though the word “Spirit” is of neuter gender, is referred to as “He” in numerous passages, particularly John 14-16 (cf 14:26; 15:26; 16:13). Thus, we may assume the Holy Spirit is indeed a distinct personality in the Godhead, and not simply some animating force of or breath of the Father and/or Son as is claimed by some in the religious world.
