Exalting Christ in My Heart: My Worship                

Christ is NOW exalted: Acts 2:29-33; 5:29-32, Philippians 2:5-11 

     exalt - “raise to the highest rank & power, raise to supreme majesty”         

     Psalm 99:5, 9                                                                                               

When I exalt Christ in my heart it will greatly impact my worship . . .

1.  Exalting Christ means I PREPARE for worship:

     a.  Exodus 13:6-7

     b.  James 4:7-10

     c.  Psalm 96:9 let us worship in the BEAUTY of HOLINESS

2.  Exalting Christ means I PATRONIZE the worship:

     a.  Numbers 9:6-13 – Refusal to worship punished by DEATH

     b.  Psalm 40:16; 70:4

     c.  Psalms 122:1-3, 6-9

     d.  Hebrews 10:25

3.  Exalting Christ means I PARTICIPATE in worship:

     a.  Psalm 29:2 – give God the GLORY due to His name

     b.  John 4:23-24 – I must engage my HEART

     c.  1 Corinthians 14:15 – I must engage my HEAD

     d.  Acts 14:8-10 - it pays to pay attention when God’s Word is preached

4.  Exalting Christ means I PROMPT others to worship:

     a.  Psalm 34:3

     b.  Psalm 95:1-3, 6-7

     c.  Hebrews 3:13
