Beatitudes of the Revelation to John

    1. Is he who READS

      1. About his PRAYERS -- 8:3-4 (burnt offerings a sweet savour)

      2. About our VICTORY -- 12:7-11 (Romans 8:37-39)

      3. About HEAVEN -- What can you tell me of Heaven apart from Revelation 21-22?

    1. Are they who HEAR the words of this prophecy and who KEEPS the things written therein (cf Revelation 22:7)

      1. Keeping God's Word has always required restraint from turning to the RIGHT or to the LEFT -- Deuteronomy 5:32

        2. (1) To the right is radicalism and anti-ism (binding the unbound)

        (2) To the left is liberalism (loosing the unloosed)

      2. Keeping God's Word means neither ADDING to nor TAKING from the Word.

  1. Revelation 14:13 -- Blessed are the DEAD who die in the LORD

    1. That they may REST from their LABORS

      1. We must not fall into UNBELIEF -- Hebrews 3:8-19

      2. We must DIE to enter into our rest -- Hebrews 4:10

      3. Psalm 116:15 "PRECIOUS in the sight of the Lord is the DEATH of His saints".

    1. Their WORKS do FOLLOW them

      1. 2 Corinthians 5:10

      2. Revelation 10:12-13

 

  1. Revelation 16:15 -- Blessed is he who WATCHES and KEEPS his GARMENTS

    1. "Watches" last week -- Matthew 24; Acts 20:31; 1 Peter 5:8

    2. "Keeps his garments"

      1. Revelation 3:1-5 -- Sardis

      2. Nothing that DEFILES shall enter into Heaven -- Revelation 21:27

      3. Ephesians 5:25-27

      4. These garments are "kept" thru FAITHFUL living -- 1 John 1:7

 

  1. Revelation 19:9 -- Blessed are they who are CALLED to the marriage supper of the LAMB

    1. 1 Corinthians 1:9 -- called into the FELLOWSHIP of Jesus Christ

    2. 2 Thessalonians 2:13-14 -- called unto sanctification by the SPIRIT

 

  1. Revelation 22:14 -- Blessed are they who DO His COMMANDMENTS

    1. They have the right to the TREE of LIFE = eternal life

    2. ENTER in through the gates into the CITY = eternal abode
