- Author - Solomon 1:1, 12, 16
- Some have disputed Solomon’s authorship based upon the appearance of some Aramaic and Persian words and phrases which appear in the text.
- When one remembers that Solomon had many wives from all over the world (2 Kings 11:1-4), it is not surprising to see variances from the Hebrew language (Neh 13:23-24).
- Date - toward the end of Solomon’s life, probably @ 977 B.C.
