- What is Worship?
- "Proskuneo" of the Persians - to fall on one’s knees and touch the forehead to the ground, (e.g., modern-day Muslims). Lit. -to fall down before one and kiss his feet or the ground before him; to do reverence to; to welcome respectfully; to kiss the hand (Catholicism)- John 4:24
- "Latreuo" - service rendered to God; the carrying out of religious duties — Romans 12:1. In the OT, this referred to the service rendered by the Levites in the daily duties surrounding the tabernacle and temple.
